Torch Award for Marketplace Trust
The Better Business Bureau in Southeast Texas conducts an annual awards competition to recognize and encourage ethical business practices. The purpose of this award is to recognize those for-profit businesses in our region committed to maintaining exceptionally high standards of ethical behavior in buyer and seller relationships. One company will be chosen in both small and large business categories, and winners of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Trust will be forwarded for international awards consideration. If you know of an outstanding company that deserves to be recognized, nominate them today!
Southeast Texas Senior Celebration & Consumer Expo
The annual event is a festive and informative opportunity for adults of all ages, but particularly those who consider themselves to be ‘senior’. Participants enjoy educational and entertaining exhibit booths and a welcoming atmosphere that includes live entertainment! It’s an opportunity for senior citizens to enjoy a day out at no cost. The event is not only a way to learn and be educated, but have fun as well. Area businesses have the opportunity to participate and display their goods via booth spaces and network with other companies.
Shred It & Forget It
Since July 2006, the BBB in Southeast Texas has provided an opportunity for consumers and businesses to shred their confidential documents for FREE. Identity theft is becoming a huge problem and we are proud to increase awareness of the problems associated with it. The event is held twice a year.
Lunch & Learn
Want an opportunity to learn and develop professionally? With different topics such as "Increasing Personal Productivity" or "Turning Customers into Raving Fans" covered throughout the year, it is a great way to improve your business and personal skills. The event includes lunch, a one-hour training session, and a great networking opportunity!
Morning Mix Tour
The Morning Mix Tour is an event serving BBB Accredited Businesses, as well as non-affiliated companies, in the eight and a half county service region of Southeast Texas. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided, along with a great opportunity to network with other business leaders in the area and a chance to learn more about the mission and services of the Better Business Bureau.
